Museu Arqueologia – this museum, located near Rua da Se, displays a variety of local antiquities.

Cathedral of St. Mary – was built sometime during the 13th century on a former mosque location. It features a unique tower enhanced by statues of gargoyles.

Silves Market – known as Mercado, the produce market is open each day except for Sunday. Nearby outdoor barbecue stands offer delicious grilled fish and chicken dishes for lunch.

Fortaleza – the hilltop sandstone walls and parapets are fun to explore and offer wonderful views of the city, along with a garden and small art exhibition area.
