Almansil Attractions

Igreja de Sao Laurenco
This church, dedicated to St. Lawrence, was erected in 1730. It attracts visitors to the Algarve who delight in its elaborate gilt decorations and azulejo panels.

Centro Cultural de Sao Laurenco
This cultural preservation center houses contemporary Portuguese art exhibits and hosts concerts of classical music. Its buildings are actually two renovated cottages that once belonged to the church on the hill. Each is more than 200 years old.
