Palmares

This beautiful, underrated course is actually one of the best in Europe. The coastal railroad separates the course, and northern holes sit on hills rimmed with a fragrant pine forest high above ocean level. The annual Almond Blossom tournament, played here at Palmares each spring, was named for the abundance of almond trees in the area. Handicap is 36 for women and 28 for men.

Located outside of Lagos, amenities include a restaurant, pro shop equipment rentals and bar as well as fine driving range, putting green and hand pulled and driven golf carts.
