Tavira

Six-mile-long Ilha de Tavira, a sandbar positioned just off the coast from the town of Tavira, features a number of lovely beaches that are easily accessible by ferry at regular intervals.

Praia de Manta Rota can be found at the village of Manta Rota, about seven miles to the east of Tavira. Here, the sandbars are connected to the shore. At nearby Cacela Velha, the sandbar features a particularly nice beach.
